I love the agile approach to developing and introducing software products. To oversimplify. Figure out the most essential thing that the product has to do. Develop just that. Test it out with some users. If you are on track, keep developing.
At times, this is the right thing to do. I once created a slide which I'm sort of proud of. The idea is to keep it really simple. Shun and discard all the fancy features that you can add later. Send them away. No bells or whistles. Just keep it simple stupid and do only the minimum viable product.
